Santens Group of Companies manages high-load warehouses, serving customers with different logistical volumes and processes of varying complexity. Under high operational loads, ensuring such parameters as high accuracy, the speed of warehouse product processing becomes critical.

To automate the management of customers' warehouse processes, the Manhattan SCALE WMS system is used, which meets our customers’ growing needs. Key warehouse processes have been organized and automated, taking into account the logistical volumes and specifics of the clients' business: goods receipt, placement, storage, processing and dispatch.

The system solves problems by dealing not only with current enquiries: its configurations allow for adapting and expanding the requirements matrix with a view to develop the clients' business. Warehouse accounting systems have passed the qualification validation and fully comply with set objectives — automation and tracking of the goods operation chain.
WTS
Warehousing tracking system is a software (client-server) installed on the Santens Group of Companies infrastructure, designed to perform warehouse operations in order to collect tracking information, to automate the processes of tracking the movement of goods packages in the warehouse.

Warehousing tracking system is utilized when performing warehouse operations in order to collect information containing means of product identification. It is designed to automate the processes of tracking the movement of goods packages in the warehouse, including their transformation.

The Warehousing tracking system solves the following main tasks:

Tracking the movement of goods packages in the warehouse, including their transformation;
Registration of data on serialized products at the receipt stage;
Registration of full pallets;
Registration of incomplete pallets;
Registration of incomplete boxes;
Registration/ aggregation of suitable boxes (with readable SSCC codes) onto a pallet;
SSCC registration at the receipt stage (products aggregated to a full pallet);
Re-assignment of SSCC codes upon receipt (products aggregated to a "box" level);
Registration of goods with the status of "archived samples" / "samples" of serialized products and the entered data verification;
Registration of inventory items marked with the status as "DEFECTIVE";
Registration of serialized products upon dispatch;
Control and procedure for dealing with goods marked with the status as "DEFECTIVE" upon dispatch;
Registration of defective serialized products;
Registration of products with the assumption of being defective during receipt, inspection, and dispatch;
Withdrawal of defective items during storage.

Possibilities of integration with customer accounting systems
Extensive practical experience in integrating with various accounting systems, including SAP, OEBS, MS Dynamics NAV, 1C, allows us to implement customer specifications of varying degrees of complexity and integration depth: from basic warehouse flows to real-time operations such as adjustments and status changes of each container unit.

When interacting with clients, we employ  various reservation strategies — FIFO, FEFO, LIFO, LEFO, Minimize visits, Maximize space, etc., in combination and in a conditional order of prioritization.

The integration interface used: our own middleware platform with the ability to use AS2, SFTP, FTPS exchange protocols.

The provision of electronic exchange of T-messages containing data on the performance of business operations with serialized products between the Logistics Service Customer and the Supplier is provided through the unified integration component PharmConnector, which is installed on the Logistics Service Provider’s infrastructure.

To enhance service quality, our specialists are constantly working to optimize current and introduce new warehouse processes. For warehouses operating around the clock, 24/7 technical support has been implemented on a 24/7 basis, with 98% service availability per month.
Ensuring Business Continuity
The security and availability of services are ensured by redundancy of hardware and communication channels, access management, operational control and long-term storage of backups.

Certain warehouse processes are associated with the risk of increased injury to personnel and equipment operators. To prevent emergencies and ensure safety, programs have been installed at all warehouse complexes to restrict Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operation in narrow-aisle shelving alleys during the work of order pickers.

Reporting
The reporting forms are customer-oriented and reflect operational activities:

Clients — statistics on operations and storage, ABC-XYZ analysis, etc.
Production/Operations — BI analytics, production staff KPI, etc.

    Certain warehouse processes may imply higher injury risks for personnel and machine operators. To prevent accidents and ensure safe environment, specialized software has been installed to interlock handling machinery in the narrow aisles of the racks at every hub while order pickers are working.
